David Clavens

About

Greetings. My name is David Clavens and I am an 18 year old footbag professional from Pennsylvania in the United States. I am currently one of the top ranked footbag players in the country and North America.

My footbag journey began at age 14 when I picked up my first hacky sack. From there I learned about tricks and tournaments from www.footbag.org. The rest as they say is history. I began competing and practicing footbag for hours. I learned from others at tournaments and through the internet. I even began to make my own equiptment by learning to sew footbags.

Since my first competition in 2003 I have competed in tournaments in places from New Jersey to Oregon, Colorado to Quebec. I have been featured in numerous newspapers on the East Coast and highlighted in juggling shows at some of the most prestigious festivals on the east. I have spread footbag to thousands through my public endeavors and have dedicated the past years to exposing the sport.

My current life is set in State College, Pennsylvania where I attend Penn State University. I practice daily and am currently preparing for the World Championships this summer in Orlando, Florida. In my spare time I work on fusing footbag with juggling. I enjoy my family, friends, and my cat smudge.

Below is a list of my competition placements in major tournaments over the past 4 years, and my biggest public performances.
